The Heart
Before you weigh the numbers, understand what they serve. This project was not started to make money. It exists to inspire and strengthen the next generation through the power of storytelling. The mechanism on this page is how the stories keep coming: it is the fuel, not the destination.
You should also know where the stories come from. NOBORU is made by people with a biblical worldview, and everything we write is rooted in it. Courage that stands between evil and the innocent. Duty that holds when it costs. Sacrifice that spends strength on someone else. We do not preach on screen. We tell stories built on the truths we believe, so a generation raised on hollow ones has something better to grow strong on.
The Ask
Noboru is a five episode mini-series with a target runtime of 50 minutes, roughly ten minutes an episode, and two additional seasons in the works pending funding. The scene above is proof that one filmmaker with a new set of tools can put this on screen. The greatest need, by far, is the cost of generation itself: every shot is designed, generated, reviewed and rerun until it is perfect. Scoring, sound and the 1080p finish follow, but generation is the engine, and that is what you are funding.
NOBORU is just the beginning. We have several upcoming projects and even more that we want to bring to the screen.

This is not a donation. NOBORU is funded by its viewers, and its viewers own half of everything it earns. $1 a koku, $100 minimum, and you are paid back first, plus 20%, before the production takes a dollar.

We Exist
We believe men were made to shield society from those who would do harm, to answer evil with the force it requires so it cannot reach the innocent. Our sons need characters who embody that calling. They need to see grit, integrity and passion lived out on screen, so they know what they have it in them to be.
The heart of a young man is made strong by hearing hundreds of stories of great bravery.
We believe women are gifted with the innate ability to nurture, to protect, and to give life in ways men never could, and that their hearts are strengthened by seeing that example honored.
Hollywood is obsessed with destroying the natural and beautiful distinction between the two. It uses the screen to lecture our sons into believing they are incapable and inherently bad, and it leverages its platforms to tell our daughters that their greatest aspiration is to be just like those men they constantly berate. Those narrow, corrupted ideas are producing a generation that has lost its footing. We tell stories to inspire them to be more than the neutered men and misandristic women of modern cinema.

The characters our kids watch help form the people they become. Boys who grow up watching men keep their word, protect the weak, master themselves and stand their ground learn that those things are possible and worth wanting. Girls who grow up watching capable men learn what to expect from the men in their lives and what to refuse.

A legendary swordsman, long past his prime, is called upon to escort a hunted boy to safety while dangerous men close in around them.

Every character starts as a full reference set: faces and figures designed, refined and locked before a single frame is generated, so the same person can hold a close-up in episode one and a goodbye in episode five.
